Water and Wastewater Process Design Engineer Full Time

They currently have a vacancy for a Water and Wastewater Process Design Engineer.  The position would suit someone with a track record in large scale infrastructural projects including wastewater, water and drainage.   You will need to have strong communication skills and have a proven track record within this area of expertise.  This company is passionate about what they want to achieve and finding the right people to join the group is paramount and key to their success.

Reporting Structure:

• Reporting directly to Senior Associate Wastewater
• Reporting also to Directors

Role:

• Management & mentoring of existing staff members & sub-consultants
• Preparation of Preliminary Reports and Feasibility Studies
• Assist in the Designing of Pumping Stations and networks where relevant to water / wastewater quality
• Assist in the Preparation of Preliminary Safety and Health Plans
• Assist with Planning Permission Applications
• Manage flow of drawing requirements to Technicians
• Preparation of Employer’s Requirements, Contract Documents & Tender Documents
• Preparation of Final Accounts
• Assisting in Tendering and Procurement Processes
• Provide Technical Support to Resident Engineers
• Interaction, meeting and Reporting Client
• Assess Interim Payment Applications / milestones
• Assist in the preparation / assessment of Safety File and Handover Documents

The Successful candidate will have:

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Level 8 Degree qualified in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical engineering or related discipline;
• Must be a Chartered Engineer;

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the design, procurement and project management of wastewater services projects;
• Proven ability to work as part of a team and a willingness to learn and develop;
• Knowledge of BIM will be an advantage.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Strong technical ability;

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong capability in MS Office (MS Word and MS Excel in particular, MS Project desirable);
• Capacity to self-motivate;
• Ability to work within a team
• Demonstrated learning ability.
