They also offer an excellent team spirit that exists among their employees. They are currently expanding their sustainability team and would like a strong sustainability engineer to join them.
This role would suit an ambitious and evolving Sustainability Engineer who is open to bringing new ideas & technologies and considers themselves to be ahead of curve.
About the Role:
The candidate will provide a diverse sustainability engineering service for a range of project scales and types. With strong IES design and simulation capability, identifying best passive solutions, compare low-carbon technologies, and draw conclusions on energy use, CO2 emissions, occupant comfort, light levels, airflow, BREEAM, LEED, BER ratings and more.
Responsibilities:
Engage in and improve the whole sustainability lifecycle of services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement.
IES Performance &compliance modelling.
Energy strategies and building regulations and assessments.
Building envelope analysis and modelling.
Internal thermal comfort analysis and natural daylight analysis.
BER analysis using DEAP and dynamic thermal modelling using IES.
Façade performance evaluation and renewable energy feasibility studies.
Post occupancy evaluation and predictive energy modelling.
Overheating, daylighting and natural ventilation studies.
Working with multidisciplinary team on energy reduction opportunities and methods in existing buildings and projects.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a similar role.
Carbon Reduction Commitment Assessors.
Building Services Engineering degree or other relevant honours degree.
Excellent report writing skills and good communication.
Must be proficient in report writing and Microsoft packages.
