Structural/BIM Technician/Arch Technologist Full Time

Our client is a well-established practice of Consulting Engineers with over 50 years’ experience in delivering projects. They currently employ over 120 highly qualified staff throughout our three offices in Ireland and one in central London.

At this firm, they strive to deliver robust projects which add value for their clients by understanding their challenges and contributing to the delivery of their long-term strategic objectives. While they are a multidisciplinary consulting firm, their principal focus is on the delivery of professional services in the areas of: Building & Infrastructure, Energy & Environment, Water Services and Resources, Project Management and General Services Function across each of these business areas.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Structural/BIM Technician /Arch Technologist to join this team. It is an exciting time for the company as they enjoyed a continued increase in project workload.

Job’s Duties and Responsibilities:

• Producing structural drawings for approval, tender and construction stages
• Producing general arrangements, concrete layouts, reinforcement layouts and bending schedules
• Experience in co-ordination structural works with other design team members
• Structural detailing and Steel detailing and roof drainage detailing
• Strong written and verbal (English) communication
• Selecting the best materials and processes for the project
• Liaising with the architect, surveyors and other construction professionals
• Preparation and review of detailed design drawings and specifications.
• Administration of the construction contracts to ensure that design requirements, project schedules and project budget are achieved.

The skills required:

• 5 Years + preferably having experience in working with a consulting engineering practice producing structural drawings using REVIT and/or AutoCAD. Experience in the use of RC CADS would be advantageous.
• Proficient in the structural design of building structures and the use of Eurocodes.
• Proficient in the use of Irish Building Regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal (English) communication and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD 2D and an aptitude to develop their skills in the use of AutoCAD 3D and Building Information Modelling (such as Autodesk REVIT would be an advantage).
• Must be eligible to work in Ireland
