This firm covers markets such as civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering and they provide a high level of technical and management solutions. The consultancy has been in operation in for many years and has created a reputation of being a market leader in their field. Due to their steady growth and having recently secured some highly challenging projects they now wish to recruit a Senior Architect Engineer to join their expanding team in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and report the Construction Contractor’s performance and effectiveness in respect of architectural works in accordance with specifications.
• To ensure adequate surveillance of the Construction Contractor’s activities and verify records in respect of architectural works.
• Carry out monitoring and surveillance of Construction Contractor’s activities in respect of specifications, standards, codes of practice and the approved construction drawings.
• Attend site visits to check on project status and report on project progress.
• Cooperate and liaise with construction professionals.
• Ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations.
• Ensure that the project and quality plan and related project documents are prepared, implemented and updated through the respective phases of the project.
• Prepare monitoring and surveillance reports and liaise with the Project Manager in respect of the report findings.
• Liaise with the Project Manager on the preparation of Observation Notes.
• Sets the right example by acting in a safe manner and challenging unsafe behaviors and conditions.
• Encourages team members to submit “spot it report it’ to identify and manage risk.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Required a degree in Architecture and 10 years or more experience.
• The Saudi Council of Engineering membership or equivalent.
• Expert networking and communication skills used at a senior level with governments, customers, suppliers, partners and sub-contractors.
• Understanding of engineering, design and quality standards.
• Produce detailed blueprints and make any necessary corrections.
• Ability to apply technical knowledge and expertise efficiently to resolving problems without the need to rely on others.
• Follow architectural trends and advancements.
