Job Summary:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radiographer with at least 2 years post graduate experience to join the Diagnostics team. You will need to be confident with excellent communication skills.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team of Radiographers and undertake a varied workload covering consultant clinics, ward and theater patients in an autonomous way. All team members take on responsibility for an area of department management for example Audit, Radiation Protection, Policy Development, and Administration. You will be a valued member of the team who truly has the opportunity to make a difference. This role would particularly suit a Radiographer who is interested in a progressive role with increased responsibility and an opportunity to really refine your skills.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for preparing and safely position patients in order to get the most accurate images. Tasks for a radiology tech may range from assisting a radiologist with advanced preparation and testing to administrative tasks, such as organizing work schedules and maintaining patient records. You may perform or specialize in mammography, computed tomography, or magnetic resonance imaging. Depending on the institution, sometimes may require on-call, evening, or weekend availability.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following;
• Maintain a high standard of professional practice being competent to provide a broad range of
radiographic techniques for examinations which are included within the scope of practice of the role.
• Skills associated with review and assessment of diagnostic images, highlighting any abnormalities that may
be present.
• Show an understanding of Clinical Governance and the importance of all aspects which contribute to a safe
and high-quality diagnostic service.
• Post-graduate radiography experience.
• A broad range of competencies matched to the job description.
Qualifications:
• BSc (Hons) degree in Diagnostic Radiography or DCR(R) qualification.
• CORU Registration
