Job Summary:

Our Client is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced Accredited Senior Vascular Physiologist (or similar) with a record of working in a Vascular Laboratory to join a small friendly team working in the Blood Flow Laboratory. The Lab offers a Vascular scanning service to the Division of Vascular Surgery and the Stroke Team. You will be performing clinical investigations and playing an important role in the management of patients with vascular disease. You will be responsible for performing and reporting Duplex assessments such as Carotid & Vertebral artery Duplex, upper & lower limb arterial / venous assessments, graft surveillance, Aortic/EVAR surveillance, Treadmill tests, pre-operative vein mapping, post–op assessment etc. Part of your duties will include the upkeep/ entry of data onto our automated reporting system so IT literacy would be an advantage

• Know and practice within legal requirements including those set down by the Society of Vascular Technicians of the Ireland.
• Advocate as necessary for the patients, respecting their dignity and confidentiality.
• To perform and interpret the following: Carotid Ultrasound, Ankle/Brachial Index and DVT. Venous, Lower Limb Arterial, Laser vein guidance is an advantage but not a requirement.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

Ideally you will have degree in a related scientific discipline with  years’ experience in Vascular Ultrasound with full accreditation (AVS) with the Society of Vascular Technology of GB & Ireland and / or be on a government Approved Register of Clinical Technologists (IPEM).

HSE registered in a suitable discipline or similar is must.
