M&E CAD Technician – Limerick Full Time

Our client who has been established for many years is a leading registered consulting engineering practice specializing in mechanical and electrical building services engineering. The company is based in Limerick City and has gained a reputation for high quality design and service in the Construction Industry. Project portfolio includes work on commercial, industrial, office, residential, education, health care, retail, public buildings, culture &heritage buildings, hospitality and sports &leisure projects. 

Job Role: 

This is a permanent role and offers the successful candidate long-term opportunities for career development. The successful candidate will be involved in a diverse and challenging range of major Electrical Engineering projects. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Reporting into the Design Manager, the main duties include:

• Produce layout drawings using AutoCAD.
• Issue drawings with covering letters/emails
• Update Database
• Seek advice from Senior Designers/Engineers
• Communicating relevant information to other departments
• Monitor workload and prioritise jobs
• Carry out other tasks and duties as reasonably directed by your manager or director
• Understand the duties required under the Health & Safety at Work Acts and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working with 2D/3D AutoCAD.
• M&E building service experience.
• Ability to solve problems and issues pro-actively.
• Excellent computer skills essential (MS Word/ Excel etc.
• Highly organised with ability to prioritise own tasks with good time management
• Have strong attention to detail.
• Diploma or third level degree in a similar field necessary or qualified by experience
• Must have European Passport or eligible to work in Ireland.
