Bridge Engineer Full Time

This role would suit an ambitious and evolving Bridge Engineer who is open to bringing new ideas & technologies and who considers themselves to be always ahead of the curve.

 Responsibilities:

• Bridge Engineer as part of a multidiscipline design team working a diverse range of bridges
• Bridge inspection and assessments and design of bridge rehabilitation works
• Project management of bridge projects
• Preparation of fee proposals and quality submissions for design opportunities with public /private clients
• Communication with internal and external parties (Clients, Stakeholders etc.)

 Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a bridge design environment
• Experience in bridge design to current standards, including the Eurocodes, the design manual for roads and bridges (DMRB), and relevant rail standards.
• Inspection of bridge assets to the Eirspan bridge management system or similar.
• Production of technical reports.
• Preparation of specifications and contract documents.
• Have good project management experience.
• Ideally be a Chartered Engineer or working towards this of a recognised institution.
