Amanda started her career in sales in the markets of London and it is here that she developed her powers of persuasion. The inspiration in her life was her mother; Angela, Sales Assistant in many high street stores including Harrods. Angela sold products to the public like she was serving the queen. She instilled a work ethic in Amanda that will always remain with her; “don’t just do a job, make a difference!” Amanda started her career in recruitment working for an executive search selection company in Sydney, she then returned to the UK and worked for a highly competitive international recruitment consultancy in the heart of London. She started with this company at the bottom and left a few years later as their top biller worldwide. Amanda moved to Ireland and has run her own business since 2000. She set up Cornhouse Consulting with the desire of becoming a leader in connecting people both globally and locally. Her strategy for success is based on making sure that she looks after her clients interests and provides a level of service that results in success and ultimately repeat business. Amanda is motivated by building lifetime business relationships and it is these connections that base the foundation of her business today.
Outside of hours, Amanda enjoys walking in the mountains or the woods with her family, travelling and exploring new places, stretching her mind and body with aerobics and yoga and has a passion to dance.
Maeve was born and bred in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. She started her career working within sales and marketing and developed her initial tricks of her trade whilst she was immersed working within a call centre environment. However, it was not long before she developed her career within recruitment where she has become an industry expert within her fields of expertise; Engineering and Medical. As a natural leader, Maeve has also developed a strong management style over the years. Having previously and currently been a Recruitment Manager, Maeve has been able to successfully pass on her industry knowledge and experience to the team that she mentors and develops. Her style is very open, her communication skills flow naturally and she has a Diploma in Human Resource Management that adds to her knowledge and understanding of the market that she works in. Maeve is the Recruitment Manager for Cornhouse Consulting, she manages both Engineering and Medical and offers everyone she reaches a level of service that is second to none.
As a pastime, Maeve enjoys her family time, is an enthusiastic cook and is also partial to the odd music concert and sports match in order to get those vocal chords working outside of the office.
