Our client is a well established and highly successful construction company based in Co.Monaghan. Due to sustained expansion and ambitious plans for growth, the company are now looking to recruit a Structural Engineer/Engineering Co-ordinator. This is a great opportunity for an individual seeking to advance their career towards management.

The position would suit a motivated, practical and adaptable individual who has the ambition to work in a progressive and innovative growing company.  The post will support the delivery of a range of projects across a number of areas including high volume residential and commercial sectors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Co-ordination, management and scheduling of projects from start to finish
• Overseeing the design of structural elements on a wide variety of residential, commercial and industrial projects.
• Providing management and leadership of detailed construction drawings including fabrication detailing.
• Liaison with external consultants and manage the approval process including quality control
• Ability to manage and work within a multidisciplinary team structure.
• Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD.
• Experience of value engineering.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree or diploma in civil/structural engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5 – 10yrs+ experience in structural design.
• ­Strong attention to detail in relation to your design work and design review.
• Experience in a wide range of small/medium/large scale projects.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills.
