Structural Design Engineer Full Time

They currently have a vacancy for a Structural Design Engineer.  The position would suit a motivated, dynamic and adaptable individual who has the ambition to work in a progressive and innovative company.  The post will support the delivery of a range of projects across the residential, commercial, hospitality, government and industrial sectors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design of Structural Elements on a wide variety of Residential, Commercial and Industrial Projects

Management & mentoring of existing staff members & sub-consultants

Ability to work within and contribute to a multidisciplinary team structure

Assist in the Preparation of Preliminary Safety and Health Plans

Manage flow of drawing requirements to Technicians

Provide Technical Support to Resident Engineers

Interaction, meeting and Reporting Client

Experience of value engineering

The Successful candidate will have:

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Degree in civil/structural engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience in a wide range of medium to large scale projects

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within structural engineering
• Experience with BIM would be an advantage but not essential
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills

Knowledge/Skills:

• Strong technical ability;

• Strong capability in MS Office (MS Word and MS Excel in particular, MS Project desirable);
• Capacity to self-motivate;
• Ability to work within a team
• Demonstrated learning ability.
