Senior Highway Engineer Full Time

This role would suit an ambitious and evolving Senior Highway Engineer who has the ability to

take a project from start to finish and enjoys leading a team.

Job Role:

This is a permanent role and offers the successful candidate long-term opportunities for career development. The successful candidate will be involved in a diverse and challenging range of design projects including highways, LRT, utilities, drainage & external works.

Responsibilities:

• Management, planning, designing and implementation of projects for highways / infrastructure.
• Ensuring adherence to H&S policy & procedures.
• Leading the projects and ensuring the delivery to client with required quality standards, programme and budget.
• Developing BIM capability
• Management of junior staff and Mentoring them.
• Providing specialist technical leadership.
• Assisting in development of the business
• Controlling project resources and monitoring against budget.
• Preparing and managing work programmes to deliver to deadlines.
• Maintaining & Developing client relationships.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering.

• Must be Chartered (or possibly Incorporated) Engineer – IEI or ICE

• Minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience, of successfully designing and delivering highways & infrastructure projects.
• Technical in-depth experience in one or more of highways, drainage, utilities, BIM including design, specification and construction documentation.
• Experience of managing project teams
• Previous experience in monitoring project programmes, costs and resources ensuring delivery to time and budget.
• IT and standard industry software skills, such as BIM and AutoCad Civil 3D or similar.
• Demonstrated commercial and financial awareness.
