Civil Technician Full Time

Location:                      Dublin, Ireland

A Civil technician is required for a leading Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy firm based in Dublin. Ideally this role would suit a person who would enjoy working in a strategically expanding company, with great personal opportunities to develop and progress.  The successful candidate will work on a range of projects including the development of business parks, road projects, transportation studies and others. This role will provide a range of challenging, dynamic and high profile projects.

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for creating CAD drawings, layouts and designs using basic design and engineering principles.
• Reviewing the drawings to ensure compliance with design standards.
• You should possess a thorough knowledge of coordinate systems, cartographic layout and design techniques.
• You should prepare various support graphics for reports and meetings.
• You should be proficient and experienced in Civil 3D & Auto CAD.
• You should be well conversant with CAD set up using surveyor data and should be apt with coordinate systems, cartographic layout and design techniques and basic Civil Engineering and design practices.
• Your role will be closely working on the projects including the development of business parks, road projects, transportation studies all of which will be designed to a very high-quality
• Attending team meeting to ensure projects are being supported effectively.
• You will be conversant with civil software.

Requirements:

• Certificate or Diploma in Design Drafting Technology or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience is required.
• Having experience of BIM would be an added
• Ability to work as part of a team & also on own initiative.
• Excellent focus on client service and very strong communication skills.
