Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer Full Time

An exciting Senior Level opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer, looking to develop their career within a leading Engineering Consultancy Firm. With a varied work stream, you will have the opportunity to practice many fields of Civil Engineering; from  surveys of Listed and high-end residential buildings, to housing association properties; to the design of large commercial and industrial buildings as well roads infrastructure and sustainable drainage system in multiple locations.

Our client is looking to expand their team in the Midlands & Dublin. Due to ongoing success in winning new and interesting projects in Ireland, our client has a Full Time role for Chartered Civil/Structural Engineering to join their expanding team.

Duties and responsibilities

• Design of civil and structural elements for typical type projects
• Ensuring that all aspects of design works are backed up by proven procedures, calculations and disciplines.
• Assisting with ongoing site based projects in terms of design development, feeding into inspection plans and the role of ancillary certifier as required under the BCAR regulations.
• Experience in Defect engineering and report writing.

Requirements

• Must have 5 to 10+ years’ experience in civil / structural engineering.
• Degree/Masters in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Exhibits planning and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure on multiple projects in the given deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to see a project through to completion.
• Good written, oral and verbal communication skills including proficiency in using of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.) is required.
• Must be self-motivated, Personable, energetic, and team player.
• Chartered experience would be an advantage.
